Novateca launches the „Modern Library Development Fund” – a wide initiative aiming to further support and spread successful modern library services implemented by the program network libraries, encourage the transfer of knowledge, experience and best practices, as well as provide opportunities for professional development, reinforce the library network, and strengthen partnerships with libraries.

This fund will be open throughout the year of 2017, supporting initiatives such as:

• replication of modern library services;
• attending professional events and study visits (for individuals/groups, in-country/abroad);
• consultancy services (organization of specialized trainings, workshops or similar professional development initiatives);
• organization of national and regional events and activities (regional sharing activities, gatherings, fairs, conferences and reunions targeting various library professionals, LPAs, public and private sector partners, Friends of the Library groups, etc).

Through the Modern Library Development Fund, Novateca will further support libraries as community centers, providing community members with new technology and services that meet their needs.
