On July 31 – August 3, the Library Association of Moldova, supported by Novateca Program, hosted the 3rd edition of the Summer Academy for Young Librarians – a non-formal event aimed to strengthen the system of young librarians’ professional development and boost their leadership skills.

To address the increasing demand in science and engineering education, Moldovan public libraries started to focus their efforts on expanding the network of robotics clubs and creating more opportunities for children to explore and apply their programming skills.

At the end of June, as part of a Novateca-e-Government Agency initiative that began in 2016, 43 national certified e-Ambassadors concluded an intensive three-stage national training campaign on electronic governance and e-services for local librarians.

On June 9, the National Children’s Library hosted the second edition of the Library Robo League contest, as part of the Novateca Modern Library Development Fund initiative.

On June 14, the IREX/Novateca Program, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, and the National Public Library for Children “Ion Creanga”, launched the national awareness raising campaign “It’s my library!”
