April 9 2017, nine librarians from Novateca network became certified Cisco IT Essentials experts who provide advanced IT trainings and motivate library visitors to get online and enjoy the benefits of digital inclusion.

The 4 months trainings provided by the Cisco Academy in Moldova enabled the librarians with advanced IT skills and knowledge in using the Linux Operating system, tweaking the Windows operating system, virtualizing operating systems (using several operation system on the same computer) and setting up a computer network via Wi-Fi and UTP wired network. Participants have also learned how to cope with troubleshooting hardware and software issues and received trainings on becoming IT instructors and managing cyber security matters.

Library users can now receive advanced free IT trainings in their closest public library!
