On Frday, February 24, the Codreni Public Library from Ocnita raion became the 1041st and the last public library to be equipped with modern technology and join the Novateca network!
Over the last five years, Novateca has been strengthening the system of library professional development by selecting libraries to receive equipment donations, procuring equipment for donation, and developing a sustainable IT support system for libraries. Today, 1041 public libraries across the country have been equipped with 3244 computers and peripheral equipment, and 169 tablets, accounting for a total of $ 3,900,212.84.
Since 2012, librarians have made great efforts to transform public libraries into modern community centers and provide citizens with innovative services tailored to their information needs of the community.
Librarians across the country can benefit from access to free internet, electronic services, IT trainings, employment, health, agriculture and foreign languages trainings, educational activities for children and youth, and many other community initiatives.
The Novateca program congratulates all librarians with this impressive achievement and continues to consolidate the network of libraries by offering more opportunities for professional development and supporting the creation of strong partnerships with libraries.
