Dear librarians,
We are pleased to announce the results of the 2nd round of the Modern Library Development Fund. The selection of finalists has been a difficult process given the number of high quality-proposals received for replication of modern library services, organization of professional events, participation in local and international study visits and conferences, and requests of consultancy services.
As a result the interest in the fund, Novateca would like to highlight the diversity of applications in library development focusing on e-services, digital inclusion, health, employment and entrepreneurship, as well as librarian professional development, Replication and partnerships. Additionally, we have witnessed a variety of applicants ranging from librarians, to IT Specialists, LPA representatives, and NGO library partners.
These results prove that the Modern Library Development Fund has become an important mechanism for supporting and spreading successful modern library services, encouraging the transfer of knowledge, experience and best practices, as well as providing opportunities for professional development, reinforcing the library network, and strengthening partnerships with libraries.
In this context, Novateca is preparing to launch the 3rd round of the Modern Library Development Fund very soon, so don’t miss out on this opportunity to continue the development of your library and community.
