Young people in school today will be joining the workforce in just a few short years. With the fast pace of socio-economic and technical change in today’s world, many students are not gaining all the knowledge they need to seamlessly integrate into careers in the most popular fields.
Noting these trends and following the example of 10 libraries from Glodeni that previously replicated the modern library service “Computer – Support for the Next Job”, eight public libraries from Glodeni and Falesti raions replicated the service, preparing a new generation for successful careers in the 21st century work environment.

More than 180 library users benefited from the activities and trainings provided within Glodeni and Falesti libraries, visiting local bakeries, kindergartens, and mayoralties to interact with their employees and find out about the practical aspects of their jobs. Field trips are one of the key activities organized by librarians for young users searching for a job, as they facilitate the interaction of library users with possible employers and help them pursue a job that suits their interests and passions. Some libraries invited school students and representatives of vocational schools at the trainings to present their educational offers and admission requirements.

To ensure the interaction and communication between service audiences, librarians often organize meetings for their participants creating a friendly and open space for discussions and interaction. A good example in this context is the Glodeni Raion Library, which facilitated the service for two different groups of users, Romanian and Russian speakers, to make sure they can easily interact with each other.
The replication of modern library services is a great way to disseminate innovation and build strong partnership relations with local institutions. Novateca encourages everyone to follow on the 3rd round of the Modern Library Development Fund and not miss out the opportunity to continue the development of your libraries and communities.
