e-Ambassadors Help Citizens Access e-Services

In 2016, Novateca program in partnership with the e-Governance Center supported the trainings on public electronic services for 29 representatives of the municipal, raion and rural libraries from Moldova. As a result, they received e-Ambassador certificates and were accredited to facilitate citizens' access to e-services at the national level. Librarians have the mandate to train community members on the use of public electronic services, including representatives of local public administration, business and other social categories, and are successfully promoting the benefits of e-services and helping citizens to save time and financial resources.

As result of their joint efforts, in March 2016 - March 2017, e-Ambassadors delivered over 220 training sessions for different target groups, including librarians, community members, representatives of local public authorities, contractors, and other professional groups. During this period, the 29 e-Ambassadors trained more than 680 librarians on e-services and helped them acquire new IT skills. In 2017, librarians provided assistance in accessing e-services to about 300 people, while more than 200 people benefited from extensive trainings. Among the most popular e-services requested by citizens continue to be the criminal record and civil status documents.

“We notice a growing number of people accessing e-services at the library and we are glad to facilitate this service and offer assistance to all the library users," said Cristina Scoferci, e-Ambassador at Floresti Town Public Library.
