A New Wave of Moldovan Librarians Join the e-Ambassador Initiative and Connect Communities to Electronic Public Services

At the end of June, as part of a Novateca-e-Government Agency initiative that began in 2016, 43 national certified e-Ambassadors concluded an intensive three-stage national training campaign on electronic governance and e-services for local librarians. The campaign covered 32 territorial-administrative units across Moldova (including Gagauzia) and provided trainings for more than 250 librarians, who are now able to provide consultancy and access to electronic governance for community members, becoming 'local e-Ambassadors.'

As result of the campaign, over 3,300 citizens (of which 17% are LPA representatives and 4% business sector representatives) benefited from trainings and assistance on the use of e-government services at the library. The campaign increased the visibility of librarian e-Ambassadors at the national and local levels, and brought added value to the overall initiative, reaching a no. of 15,000 citizens who have accessed e-services at the library.
