The winner of the photo contest - Hâncești Raion Public Library A. Plămădeală – received its prize.

The lucky library, which was designated by the Novateca team as the winner of the photo contest “Children at the Library” received its prize today – a photo camera with built-in Wi-Fi capabilities, that posts photos in the social networks.

Evan Tracz, Novateca Program Director, awarded the prize to the Director of the Hâncești public library, Missis Ana Neaga. She came to receive the prize awarded by the Novateca Program, accompanied by Mister Ion Tulbu, Head of the Hâncești Department of Culture and Tourism, and Missis Valentina Cotorobai, Main Specialist on Libraries of the Hâncești Department of Culture and Tourism.

“I congratulate Hâncești Raion Library for the fact that they think outside the box, namely, innovative, and that the library is not only a building that hosts books, but an institution that offers its readers diverse and very creative services. The winning photo proves us that children feel good at the library and that there they spend their time most useful.” mentioned the Program Director.

On his behalf, the Head of the Hâncești Department of Culture and Tourism declared that the Novateca Program has a positive impact on the libraries from the entire Hâncești raion. He also mentioned that libraries will continue to work with maximum devotion for the local communities.

We remind you that this contest took place during May 2014. Public libraries from Moldova were invited to send photos showing how the local library engages children in different activities, which give them the opportunity to learn, have fun and to spend their time usefully! Over 50 public libraries participated in this contest. The Novateca team selected the winning photo by open and fair vote.
