The goal of the first ToT was to create and strengthen a national team of trainer-librarians specialized in adult training and computer management that will develop and support training programs for both librarians from village libraries and communities across Moldova.
The training curricula consisted of three modules. One was dedicated to Basic IT Skills and Computer Management, the other one to adult training methodology and the third one to the ‘Modern Library” concepts.
The workshops were structured interactively and it gave participants the chance to work in groups and share their experience and achievements. They could ask facilitators for help and come up with solutions to different situations. Librarians provided constructive and positive feedback. They gained new knowledge, built practical skills and started feeling more confident and inspired for the upcoming trainings, not only for the librarians under Novateca program but the general public also.
