We are excited to announce an opportunity for participating Novateca public libraries that work with young children. In cooperation with IREX Moldova, a Romanian company producing interactive educational games for preschool-age children is interested in piloting their products in a diverse selection of Moldovan public libraries that possess adequate infrastructure and equipment.

If interested, please send a short statement of interest consisting of a description of your library’s history of cooperation with kindergartens or children’s groups, activities currently supported for children aged between 3 and 7, and how your library and its users would benefit from using this kind of educational software. Both raion and village libraries that have at least five public access computers available, and a librarian able and willing to attend trainings and report on software usage are eligible to apply. Selected libraries will receive the educational software as well as training on how to use it, and will be asked to experiment with its use, and record and report on a set of pre-established set of indicators to Novateca and the producer of the educational games.
