Novateca Launches New Partnership with TEKEDU

Novateca is pleased to announce the start of a new partnership with TEKEDU – a program designed to teach children use ICT for education. In this partnership, 18 children from six education institutions, including from orphanages and vulnerable families in Orhei will start their participation in a three-months pilot training program, called tech4children. The tech4children pilot program aims to develop the information and technology skills of disadvantaged children in rural communities and thus foster the education process through computers. The tech4children pilot trainings will take place in the Orhei Raion Public Library, which is part of the Novateca network. Each Saturday, the library will host the sessions in the Novateca training room, inviting participants to use the space, computers and available equipment. Novateca hopes the pilot training will be a successful one, and that a long-term partnership can be developed with TEKEDU to train children from orphanages and vulnerable families throughout Moldova in Novateca participating libraries
