Novateca Program introduces a volunteer, who daily contributes to the development of the library from Văsieni, Telenești district.

Meet Nicoleta Arnăut, the pupil who though seems shy, inspired us with her talent and energy to support the library’s programs and change things and the library’s image in her community. Nicoleta engages in many activities carried out by the public library and takes part in transforming the library into a vibrant institution, which offers interesting and useful services and activities both for young users, as well as for older ones. With Nicoleta’s support, such services as “Hai cu Noi pe net” (“Come along on the net”) and “Cu Novateca la Cinema” (“To the cinema with Novateca”), that were started at the library, brought lots of benefits to the young people and community members.

Novateca encourages all libraries in the network to intensively cooperate with active young people, to engage them in various projects and activities that support the library and the community. Attracting young people into not-for-profit activities will bring benefits to both parties: the library shall establish a group of active supporters that promote the library and make it visible in the community, while the volunteers have the possibility to gain their first experiences, acquire new knowledge and interact with different groups of people in the community.
