During 15-26 February 2016, Novateca program has successfully conducted a new session of Training of Trainers. In result, nine librarians received the necessary grounding to become trainers in the Regional Training Centers opened at the public libraries from the raions Nisporeni, Cimislia, Basarabeasca, Edinet, Anenii Noi and Donduseni.

The agenda of the 2-weeks trainings goes through three compulsory modules, and namely adult learning techniques, the concept of modern library and information technologies and computer management. Thus, the participants became versified with these notions and gained skills in IT and computer management.

The selected nine trainers will deliver trainings to librarians at the local level. These trainings seek to increase the degree of professionalism within village librarians and familiarize them with the concept of a modern librarian. The trainers will receive further support from Novateca in conducting these trainings, mainly through mentoring and coaching activities.

The Training of Trainers course aims to build a strong national team of trainers specialized in training adults and IT management. Trainers will have to develop and sustain training programs for both, village librarians and members of the community from all over the country.
