Lidia Gontea from Regional Training Center within Public Library “Iulian Filip”, raion Drochia, was designated the Best Trainer of the Month of February, 2016.

Upon the completion of the Training of Trainers course in July 2015, Ms. Gontea has actively participated in delivering trainings to local librarians. The trainings focus on developing skills in areas related to Concept of Modern Library, Information Technologies, and New Library Services.

Lidia Gontea has initiated the new library service “Use IT to become modern, educated, and well-informed.” The service targets students from the Drochia Vocational School and aims to help them develop IT skills. Silvia Zaporojan, second trainer within the Drochia Regional Training Center, and Dinu Cantemir, IT specialist within the same RTC help the trainer to implement this service successfully.

Additionally, the trainer provides support in organizing the “Passion” and “Diversity” clubs, as well as other events, which focus on satisfying the needs of community members.

We would like to acknowledge the efforts and great contribution of Lidia Gontea in modernizing public libraries in Moldova and wish her great accomplishments in her future endeavors.
