Open an EU Information Center in your library!

Now you can have access to all digital resources of the European Union in your library, becoming an Information Centre of the European Union at the raion level.

Benefits:

- You will receive a free user account to access the digital library of the European Union - EU Bookshop (https://bookshop.europa.eu/ro/home/). EU Bookshop is an online bookshop, library and archive of publications dating back to 1952. It contains 110,000 titles and 235,000 corresponding electronic versions (PDFs, e-books) in more than 50 languages, including Romanian language;

- You will participate at the annual training for EU Information Centers’ coordinators;

- You will receive support in the organization of events of European topics from the BDR Associates – the company responsible for the political communication of the EU Delegation in the Republic of Moldova:

Will provide consultations regarding the organization of events,

Will provide logistical support – supplies, promotional materials, etc.;

Will facilitate the participation of national and international experts at the events.

- You will be among the beneficiaries of EU Delegation during the distributions of their published materials.

Responsibilities:

- You will identify in your library a Coordinator for the EU Information Center (the coordinator should have IT usage skills, have previous experience in communication with the public, as well as in the organization of events);

- The coordinator will be responsible to manage the EU Bookshop user account (according to the provisions of the Agreement that will be signed between the coordinator and the EU Delegation in the Republic of Moldova);

- The coordinator will manage the search and delivery of the printed materials from the EU Bookshop on the users’ request;

- The coordinator will develop an activity plan for the EU information Center and will organize activities related to the European topics (2-5 activities per year);

- The coordinator will be responsible for the promotion of the organized activities.

Municipal, raion and town libraries are eligible to become EU Information Centers.
