On April 9-14, Novateca in collaboration with the Polish Foundation for Development of Information Society and the National Library of Lithuania facilitated a 6-day study visit of a group of 12 Moldovan librarians to Poland and Lithuania, as part of the European Library Innovation Program.

On April 19, as part of a joint initiative between Novateca and the Moldovan Competitiveness Project, the Ungheni Raion Library launched the first FabLab in Moldova

On March 28, the representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Research, the National Librarianship Council, and Novateca program hosted a panel discussion with representatives of the public library network to address the main challenges and opportunities faced by Moldovan public libraries after the Novateca project closes.

On February 24-25, Moldovan public libraries Robo Clubs joined the FIRST LEGO League national robotics contest to challenge their programming skills and address drinking water resource issues through technical innovation.

Through a joint Novateca-e-Government Center initiative, Moldovan public libraries and librarians are taking on new roles in promoting and providing access to online services.
