To address the increasing demand for programming education, Moldovan public libraries are stepping up their offers to local communities to learn the basics of coding through their ‘CodeLab’ initiative.

At the end of November, 10 Moldovan librarians attended a 2-day study visit to Latvia, to explore new ideas and skills in supporting media literacy through libraries and enhancing communication strategies in the communities they serve.

October 31 - November 4, Swedish library expert Inga Lunden returned to Moldova to advise Moldovan public libraries and partners on further promotion of the new library law, passed by Moldovan Parliament in July 2017, and development of the regulatory framework.
