Promotion of Media Literacy through the Libraries
The Training will be organized in the period March 30 April 1 and April 2-4, pending number of applications received; this second training will be in Russian if we receive at least 12 applications.

Novateca is glad to announce that the Municipal Library "B.P. Hasdeu" is one of the four winners of the seventh edition of the contest "EIFL Public Library Innovation Award" organized by EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries). This contest aims to identify and award the public libraries that facilitate the access to innovative educational resources.
Study visit paid to the Telenești District Public Library
On 11 November 2014, the Novateca Program organized a study visit to the public library “Vasile Alecsandri” from Telenești, for those libraries from the Republic of Moldova that are not yet part of the network. Librarians from 13 public libraries from districts of Criuleni, Rîșcani, Florești, Glodeni, Cantemir, Nisporeni, Cimișlia, Dubăsari, Drochia, Ocnița, Dondușeni, Basarabeasca and Sîngerei benefited from the opportunity to learn from the experience of the most advanced library from the network

Novateca is happy to announce that Moldova was privileged to welcome a world-renowned librarian, who challenged the Moldovan librarians and the representatives of local public administrations to be creative, to think out of the box and to look, find and implement low-cost innovative ideas in the libraries.

Novateca Program initiates a series of interviews that will be conducted with directors of district libraries, LPA representatives from the districts that were included in Novateca network.
During 2 weeks, we will publish interviews in which we shall report on obstacles and challenges that the directors of libraries overcame in partnership with mayors and librarians from selected communities.
